Missing Even One Day’s Fast During the Holy Month of Ramadan (without any excuse) is an Irreplaceable Loss
(darulifta alikhlas)

It has been narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Whoever misses a day of fasting in Ramadan without a valid reason (such as illness or travel), even if he fasts for his entire life afterward, he cannot compensate for the blessings of that missed day." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Hadith Number: 723)
Ramadan is a month of special mercy and blessings from Allah Almighty. Fasting during this month is farz (obligatory) upon Muslims. Skipping a day’s fast to due to ordinary excuses to please oneself is a serious sin and a huge loss.
According to the Hadith mentioned above, if someone intentionally misses a day of fasting in this blessed month, even if they perform its qaza later, they will still deprive themselves of the blessings and mercy of Ramadan. Even if they were to fast for the rest of their life, they cannot attain the blessings of that missed day.
May Allah grant us all the ability to observe the fasts of Ramadan with utmost sincerity. Ameen.
