Providing Iftar to a Fasting Person
(darulifta alikhlas)

Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever provides food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have the same reward as him without anything being deducted from the reward of the fasting person." (Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith Number: 8707)

A principle of Allah's grace and generosity is that a Muslim who assists another Muslim in performing a righteous deed, receives the full reward of that righteous deed. Providing iftar to a fasting person is a deed that has great reward and giving someone even one sip of water or even a single date is enough to earn this reward.
How fortunate are those who consistently provide iftar for fasting muslims and thus earn the full reward of their fast in addition to their own reward.
