Topic: Showing the Face of the Deceased at the Time of Burial   (No-17002)

Q Should the face of the deceased be shown at the time of burial?

a According to the Noble Hadith, the deceased should be buried as soon as possible after the janazah prayer is performed. Showing the face of the deceased after the janazah prayer delays the burial to some extent. Sometimes, the effects of barzakh begin to appear on the body, which entails the risk of exposing the shortcomings of a Muslim. For these reasons, it is not advisable to show the face of the deceased at the time of burial.
