Women are usually unable to control their emotions and may indulge in wailing and weeping loudly , therefore, scholars have forbidden women from going to the graveyard. So, if an old women goes to the graveyard with her Mahram (محرم) and due regards of Shari’ah veil, then there is room for her to visit a graveyard, provided there is no chance of wailing, weeping loudly or crying, however, going of a younger woman to graveyard is Makrooh (مکروہ - disliked).
