It is permissible to give Sadaqah al Fitr in the form of rice, but the Shariah has not specified any particular weight or quantity for it. Thus, the minimum amount of rice that should be given as Sadaqah al Fitr is a weight which is equivalent in price to 1.75 kg of wheat.
