Wearing Clothes with a Shirt-style Collar (No-8095)
Nowadays, men’s shalwar kameez have straight collars, but the shirts usually worn with pants in formal settings have different collars (folded collars). I have heard that wearing such collars is not correct, and the duas of individuals who wear such collars are not accepted. Is this true?
Wearing clothes with the collars described in the question (folded collars) is permissible. However, since righteous and pious people usually do not wear clothes with such collars, it is better to wear clothes without collars.

(وعنه) : أي عن ابن عمر (قال: قال رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - (من تشبه بقوم) : أي من شبه نفسه بالكفار مثلا في اللباس وغيره، أو بالفساق أو الفجار أو بأهل التصوف والصلحاء الأبرار. (فهو منهم) : أي في الإثم والخير. قال الطيبي: هذا عام في الخلق والخلق والشعار"
