Holding the belief that gemstones (such as sapphire, ruby, turquoise, etc.) have an influence on one's life or provide protection against envy or evil eye is not permissible. The outcomes of life, whether good or bad, are connected to an individual's righteous or wrongful deeds, not to gemstones. Therefore, wearing rings based on such beliefs is not permissible and “haram”. However, if someone wears a gemstone for medical treatment purposes, and wearing it genuinely has a positive effect on the body, and there is no wrongful belief associated with it, then wearing it as a remedy would be permissible.
To summarise, if there is no wrongful belief associated with the sapphire gemstone, there is no objection to wearing it in a ring.
