It should be noted that injections do not invalidate the fast, regardless of whether the needle is inserted into the muscle or into a vein. This is because injections administer medicine into the body through pores. This is the same as taking a shower or getting bitten by a venomous animal, the water and venom do have an influence on the body but the fast is not invalidated.
However, it is makrooh e tanzeehi to get injections as a means of refreshments or energy.

لأن الموجود في حلقه أثر داخل من المسام الذي هو خلل البدن والمفطر إنما هو الداخل من المنافذ للاتفاق على أن من اغتسل في ماء فوجد برده في باطنه أنه لا يفطر وإنما كره الإمام الدخول في الماء والتلفف بالثوب المبلول لما فيه من إظهار الضجر في إقامة العبادة لا؛ لأنه مفطر. اه.

وما يدخل من مسام البدن من الدهن لا يفطر هكذا في شرح المجمع.
