Applying chap stick (lip balm) while fasting (No-14512)
Is it permissible to apply unflavored chap stick (lip balm) during fasting? Usually when I apply chap stick, my tongue involuntarily tries to moisten my dry lips, and then the lip balm lotion gets on my tongue.
It is permissible to apply chap stick on the lips while fasting, as the lips are an external part of the body. However, if there is a possibility of it entering the mouth, it is makrooh.
