Shariah Ruling on spending the money received for Iftar and Sehri in some other Masraf (No-14666)
Dear Mufti Sahib, I work at a place where I get a monthly salary. In Ramadan, they gave me extra money, with the condition that it must be spent on Sehri and Iftar. Am I bound by this condition? If I need the money more for something else, can I spend it there?
It is important to note that once a Hadiya (gift) is received, it is not necessary to spend it on the specific purpose specified by the giver. Rather, it can also be spent on other needs. However, it is better to respect the wishes of the giver.

"الْهِبَةُ عَقْدٌ مَشْرُوعٌ لِقَوْلِهِ – عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ – «تَهَادَوْا تَحَابُّوا» وَعَلَى ذَلِكَ انْعَقَدَ الْإِجْمَاعُ (وَتَصِحُّ بِالْإِيجَابِ وَالْقَبُولِ وَالْقَبْضِ) أَمَّا الْإِيجَابُ وَالْقَبُولُ فَلِأَنَّهُ عَقْدٌ، وَالْعَقْدُ يَنْعَقِدُ بِالْإِيجَابِ، وَالْقَبُولِ، وَالْقَبْضُ لَا بُدَّ مِنْهُ لِثُبُوتِ الْمَلِكِ".

(وَ) حُكْمُهَا (أَنَّهَا لَا تَبْطُلُ بِالشُّرُوطِ الْفَاسِدَةِ) فَهِبَةُ عَبْدٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُعْتِقَهُ تَصِحُّ وَيَبْطُلُ الشَّرْطُ"۔
