Topic: Bleeding from the Teeth while Fasting   (No-15788)

Q If a person’s teeth start bleeding while fasting, does their fast remain valid?

aIf, during fasting, a person’s teeth start bleeding and the blood mixes with the saliva and goes down the throat, the ruling depends on the quantity. If the quantity of saliva is more than the blood, the fast remains valid; however, if the quantity of blood is equal to or more than the saliva, the fast is broken, and the person must perform Qaza for that day’s fast.
