The best way of Isal e Sawab (conveyance of reward) is to recite as much of the Quran as possible, discretely give as much charity as one’s financial situation allows, or perform any other form of voluntary worship and dedicate the reward of the deed to the deceased person. All other methods of Isal e Sawab that are prevalent today such as teeja, chaleeswan and niyaz are baseless and fall under the category of Bid’ah (innovation). Therefore, they should be avoided.
