In the scenario described, the proposed investment arrangement, where you provide the capital and the factory owner manages conducts the export transaction, falls under the contract of Muḍārabah (profit-sharing partnership).
For a Muḍārabah contract to be valid, both parties must share in the profit and loss. The profit must be determined as an agreed percentage of the profit earned from the business. It is not permissible to stipulate a fixed monetary return calculated at a fixed rate per unit, such as PKR 20 per gaz (yard) of cloth.
Therefore, the agreement described in the question is impermissible.
The Sharīʿah-compliant alternative is for both parties to mutually agree, at the time of the contract, on a specified percentage of the profit, such as 30%, or 50% for the investor, with the remainder belonging to the manager (muḍārib). In this manner, the transaction will be in accordance with the rules of Muḍārabah.
