This name appears in the Arabic language with several different pronunciations:
1) "Namirah" (نَمِرَة, with a fatha on ن and ر, and a kasra on م) is the feminine form of "Namir". In Arabic it means having a spotted or speckled colouring, like that of a leopard. With this meaning, the name is not suitable. However, it can also carry the meaning of "a brave woman", and with that in mind, the name may be used. Additionally, there is a mosque in the plain of Arafat called "Namirah", and the name may also be used with reference to it.
2) From the same root comes the word "Namrah" (نَمْرَہ, with a fatha on ن and ر, and a sukoon on م), which means "number". This is not an appropriate meaning for a name and should therefore not be used.
3) There is also "Numrah" (نُمْرَہ, with a damma on ن, a sukoon on م, and a fatha on ر), which means "a stain or blemish". This meaning is likewise unsuitable for a name and should not be used.
As for "Nimrah" (نِمْرَۃ, with a kasra on ن, a sukoon on م, and a fatha on ر), this form has not been found in the Arabic lexicon. Until a suitable meaning for it is established, this form should also not be used as a name.
