The name "Waaniyah" (وانیہ) carries the meaning of a weak and lazy woman. Given this meaning, the name is not a good choice, and it is better to change it.
It should be noted that girls should be named after the blessed names of the Ummahaat ul-Mumineen or the Sahabiyat, may Allah be pleased with them all, so that the blessings of these noble personalities may be reflected in the child. According to the ahadith, a person's name has a great influence on their character.
