The word "Qeedaar" (قیدار) is meaningless. "Qidaar" (قِدار, without the ya) was the name of the wretched man who killed the she-camel of Hazrat Salih (peace be upon him). For this reason, instead of naming a child Qeedaar or Qidaar, a name should be chosen from among the names of the Prophets (peace be upon them) or the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them all).
