"Ayyaan" (اَیّان, with a fatha on the alif and a shaddah on the ya) is an Arabic word meaning "when" or "at what time?" As for "Ayaan" (اَیَان, without the shaddah on the ya), it has no established meaning.
For this reason, it is not appropriate to name a child either Ayyaan or Ayaan.
