Just as a single-word name is permissible, a compound name, that is, a name made up of more than one word, is also permissible, provided its meaning is sound. However, a single-word name is preferable, because the purpose of a name is identification, and a single word fulfils that purpose on its own.
If someone wishes to add "Muhammad" (محمد) or "Ahmad" (احمد) before or after their name for the sake of blessings, doing so for that purpose is a praiseworthy act.
Therefore, the names Hareem Fatima (حریم فاطمہ) and Ishrat Fatima (عشرت فاطمہ) are both permissible, though using Fatima alone is preferable.
