Topic: Performing Qaza for Fasts Missed due to Examinations is Obligatory   (No-8071)

Q I am currently 43 years old. During my matriculation exams, I skipped 21 fasts. In addition to these, I have also missed 65 other fasts. I am now performing Qaza for these 65 fasts.
How do I perform Qaza for the 21 fasts that I missed without any valid shariah excuse? Do I fast one day for each fast missed? Or do I fast consecutively for 60 days, which seems very difficult for me right now? Please clarify.

aSince you did not break the fasts, but rather skipped them, you only need to perform qaza for them, kaffarah (fasting for 60 consecutive days) is not mandatory.
Therefore, you must observe 21 qaza fasts to compensate for the missed fasts, and it is advisable to do so as soon as possible. Additionally, seek repentance and forgiveness from Allah (SW).
