Topic: Procedure for Performing Hajj al-Tamattu’   (No-15925)

Q Please explain the procedure for performing Hajj Tamattu' clearly?

a The procedure for performing Hajj al-Tamattu’ is as follows:
Enter the state of ihram with the intention for Umrah before reaching the designated Miqat. Perform the arkaan (rites) of Umrah (i.e., Tawaf, Sa'i, Halaq), and then exit the state of ihram. On the 8th of Dhul Hijjah, re-enter the state of ihram, this time with the intention for Hajj and travel to Mina. Return to Mina on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah after staying in Arafah and Muzdalifah on the designated days. On this day, perform Rami al-Jamarat (stoning the shaytan), offer the Hajj sacrifice (dam e shukar), and either shave the head (halaq) or shorten the hair (qasar) – in this exact order. Then, exit the state of Ihram. Finally, perform Tawaf e Ziyarah and then perform the sa'i of Hajj.
