Visiting and Praying Nafil Prayers at Sacred Sites (Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Cave of Thour, Cave of Hira, etc.) after Performing Umrah (No-15945)
After performing Umrah, is it permissible to visit the sacred places of Mina, Muzdalifah, Arafat, the Cave of Thour, and the Cave of Hira, and offer Nafil prayers there?
It is permissible to visit the sacred places mentioned in the question (Mina, Muzdalifah, Arafat, the Cave of Thour, and the Cave of Hira) after performing Umrah, and it is also appropriate to offer Nafil prayers there. However, it is wrong/incorrect to believe that offering Nafil prayers at these places brings more reward.

واختلف فی شد الرحال الی غیرھا کالذھاب الی زیارة الصالحین أحیاء و أمواتا وإلى المواضع الفاضلة لقصد التبرک بھا و الصلاة فیھا... الصحیح عند إمام الحرمین وغیرہ من الشافعیة أنه لا یحرم و أجابوا عن الحدیث بأجوبة ... والأولی أنه یقدر ما ھو أکثر مناسبة، وھو لا تشد الرحال الی مسجد للصلاۃ فیه إلا إلی الثلاثة، فیبطل بذلک قول من منع شد الرحال إلی زیارة القبر الشریف وغیره من قبور الصالحین.

والمعنی کما افاد فی "الاحیاء" انه لا تشد الرحال لمسجد من المساجد الا لھذہ الثلاثة لما فیھا من المضاعفة بخلاف بقیة المساجد فانھا متساویة فی ذلک فلا یرد انه قد تشد الرحال لغیر ذلک کصلة الرحم، وتعلّم علم، وزیارة المشاھد کقبر النبیﷺ و قبر الخلیل علیہ السلام وسائر الائمة.
