Topic: Two Rakʿāt after Tawāf are Wājib    (No-33458)

Q While performing ʿUmrah, after completing the Ṭawāf, I was unable to perform the two Rakʿāt of Ṭawāf behind Maqām Ibrāhīm due to crowding. The congregational Ṣalāh then commenced, so I joined the Farḍ prayer and subsequently forgot to perform the two Rakʿāt. I then proceeded to complete my Saʿī, and only after completing my ʿUmrah did I remember that I had not performed the two Rakʿāt of Ṭawāf. What should I do in this situation?

aIt should be noted that after completing the seven rounds of each Ṭawāf - whether it is obligatory or Nafil Tawaf, it is wājib (compulsory) to perform two Rakʿāt of prayer. It is Sunnah to offer them in al-Masjid al-Ḥarām, and preferable to offer them in front of Maqām Ibrāhīm, facing the Kaʿbah, so that both are aligned before the worshipper.
If one cannot find space near Maqām Ibrāhīm, the prayer may be performed anywhere within al-Masjid al-Ḥarām. In the case where one leaves the Ḥaram without offering these two Rakʿāt, it remains obligatory to perform them later. The responsibility is not lifted until they are prayed.
